VISA + FIFA WORLD CUP 2022
GMR Marketing client, Visa, has sponsored FIFA for 16 years and is the official payment technology partner of FIFA events around the world. In previous years, the brand could easily decline cash and any card that wasn’t a Visa. However, many consumers in the middle east use tap-to-pay payment technology, making it difficult to know which card they are using.
Unique was asked to come up with messaging to persuade people to use their Visa card while also being sensitive to the culture. Fortunately for Visa, he grew up in the middle east.
The concept he proposed is firm in English and respectful in Arabic.
Plus, it negates using cash as well.
